Iodsep 10% External Solution
Used in veterinary medicine.
Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antiseptic, antimicrobial, disinfectant.
Target species: Cattle, small ruminants, pigs, dogs, cats, poultry.
Composition:
1 ml contains: Povidone-iodine – 100 mg.
Indications for use:
Antiseptic treatment of wounds, burns, ulcers, including trophic ulcers.
Disinfection of skin and oral mucous membranes in cases of gynecological infectious-inflammatory diseases.
Treatment of skin and mucous membranes before and after diagnostic procedures and manipulations (infections, punctures, blood sampling, biopsy, etc.).
Hygienic treatment of patients before and after surgery.
Hygienic cleaning of medical personnel and surgeons’ hands before and after surgery.
Disinfection in cases of infectious dermatitis, fungal diseases, papillomas, purulent conditions.
Hygienic disinfection of medical personnel’s hands after contact with infected patients.
In gynecology: for acute and chronic vaginitis, retained placenta, endometritis, metritis, trichomoniasis, candidiasis.
Disinfection of animals’ limbs in cases of foot rot, necrobacillosis.
Pre- and post-castration manipulations.
Disinfection of premises, production facilities, food establishments, medical institutions, feeders, water containers, as well as animal housing, incubators, poultry houses, and other equipment.
Dosage form: Iodzeph 10% solution packaged in polyethylene containers of 1 L, 100 ml, 20 ml.
Method of administration and dosage:
Disinfection of buildings and equipment: dilute 1:100 – 1:200. 1 L of solution is sufficient for 4 m² of surface, or for spraying/fumigation of 100 m³.
Disinfection of buildings and equipment in infection outbreaks: dilute 1:20 – 1:50.
For skin treatment: use aqueous solution diluted 1:10.
For disinfection of limbs and oral cavity: dilute 1:100 – 1:150.
For fungal and bacterial infections of skin and mucous membranes: apply undiluted 10% solution directly to the affected area, leave for 1–2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Storage conditions:
Working solution should be prepared immediately before use. Long-term storage of the prepared solution is not allowed. The solution must have a dark-brown color; discoloration indicates loss of effectiveness. Exposure to light and temperatures above 40°C accelerates decomposition of active substances.
Store in a dry, dark place at 20°C. Keep out of reach of children.
