Composition:
Tylozin-Tartrate - - - - - - - - 1g.
Pharmacological characteristics:
bacteriostatic antibiotic with wide spectrum of activities; It is effective against gram-positive and some hgram-negative microorganisms such as: Cocci, corinebacteria, clostridia, pasteurella, hemophylus, leptospria, neiseria, brucella, rickettsia, spyrocheta, vibrion, erysipelothrix;
It is against large basophilic viruses of psittacosis group
Drug activity is based on supressing bacterial synthesis of proteins via joining of active substances with ribosome. Besides interference with peptidyl transferase takes place that hinders formation of peptide chains.
Drug is effective against pathogenic micolpasm.
Tylozin-Tartrate helps to avoid development of micoplasmosis of respiratory ways, increases poultry bodyweight and improves metabolism;
Drug is compatible with Sulfanlamides, nitrofuranes, erithromicine and spectomicine;
Effects:
Drug is used in:
Poultry - it is used for treatment and prevention of respiratory micoplasmosis, turkey infective sinusitis, respiratory infections of chicken and turkey, spyrocheta of hens and turkeys, necrotic enteritis, infective chicken flu;
Piglets - it is used for treatment and prevention of dithyramb, bacterial gastroenterocolitis and bronchopneumonia;
Calves, lambs and kids - it is used for treatment and prevention of dithyramb, gastroenterocolitis and bronchopneumonia caused by germs sensitive to Tylozin.
Dosage:
Animals and poultry are given Tylozin-Tartrate together with drinking water. The drug is designed for peroral administration. Animals and poultry are given only water with antibiotics during the treatment period;
Drug is diluted in small amount of water. This water is added to drug and not vise-versa. Received solution is diluted in water until the needed concentration isn't obtained;
Following concentration is given for prevention of respiratory micoplasmosis and infective sinusitis - 1 g Tylozin-Tartrate with 2 liter of drinking water during 3-5 days in the following sequence:
Pedigree poultry - 35 g of Tylozin-Tartrate is added to drinking water for 1000 chickens during the first 72 hours after hatching. 0.5g (half tea-spoon) on 1 liter of drinking water; Prevention measures are taken for 1-3 days;
The dose is repeated when chickens become 1 month old. Prevention measures are taken for 1-3 days;
The third processing takes place when chicken are 9-12 week olds. 0.5g of drug is diluted in 1 liter of water. Prevention measures are taken for 1-3 days. Prevention measures are taken again when chickens are 18-20 week olds.
Egg-layer hens: The first processing takes place during 72 hours after hatching for prevention purposes, the second - at the age of 4 weeks; the next processing takes place when hens are 84-85 days old.
Broilers: The first processing takes place during 72 hours after hatching for prevention purposes, the second - at the age of 28-29 days old.
Hens are given treatment for 3-5 days if they are infected with respiratory micoplasmosis, chronic respiratory infection, spyrochetosis, necrotic enteritis or infective flu. 0.5g of drug is diluted in 1 litre of water;
Turkey: During the first 5 days they are given 12.5g Tylozin-Tartrate, 0.5g (half tea-spoon) is diluted in 1 liter of drinking water. The medicine is given to turkeys for 1-3 days; when they reach age of 1 month, repeated treatment is carried out with the following dosage: 7.5 g for each turkey with proportion 0.5g on 1 liter of water;
Such prevention is enough at the age of 16 weeks. Drug is used for treatment of respiratory micoplasmosis, chronic respiratory infection, spyrochetosis, necrotic enteritis or infective flu. In such cases drug is given in following dosage: 0.5g of drug with 1 litre of drinking water for 5 days;
Piglets:
Following concentration of Tylozin-Tartrate is given for treatment of dithyramb and gastroenteritis: 0.25g (1/4 of tea spoon) of antibiotic on 1 liter of drinking water during 3-10 days (2-12 mg/kg) considering disease severity;
Calves, lambs, kids - Drug is used for treatment of gastroenterocolitis, dyspepsia and bronchopneumonia. Dosage - 0.25g of antibiotic with 1 liter of drinking water (6-15mg/kg) during 3-8 days;
Side effects:
No side effects are reported, if drug is administered in a recommended dose. Is some cases erythema is reported. In case of overdosing Tylozin is considered as a less dangerous drug;
Contraindications:
It isn't recommended to use drug in horses as they may have a strong diarrhea. Drug isn't given to egg-layer hens, if their egg is used as food;
Special warning:
Poultry meat and pork can be used after five days from the last administration of medicine;
